🔮 Fusion CAM Containment (+ Tricks & Tips!) Video​

At Toolpath, we are leveraging AI for CAM automation — but we know that's not possible without a deep understanding of CAM programming. We thought we'd share some of our best tips and tricks so you can use them yourself, and to build your trust in Toolpath as the right team to automate CAM programming. 🔓 Unlocked Orbit Rotation​

Previously, Toolpath locked orbit rotation at top and bottom views. You can now freely orbit. Try it out for yourself and remember to set your preferred 3D Controls in your Toolpath Preferences. Hear the excitement in my voice as I test out free orbit below.

🐛 Bug Fixes​

  • Unnecessary air cutting on bore and pocket features following 3D roughing has been removed.
  • Made some corrections to chamfer tool selection to prevent gouging adjacent geometry.
  • The Default Tool Library Feeds & Speed Presets have been updated to match Pretool results.
  • "Send to Toolpath" in the Toolpath for Fusion Add-In now works correctly if there is more than one body present in the design (as long as only one body is selected).
  • Made significant performance improvements to speed up part analysis.
  • Tool selection for pockets with narrow slots or pocket features has been optimized.
  • Tapered face mills are no longer allowed to side mill.
  • Corrected some depth errors on hole interpolation.
  • CAM Automation for filleted boss features has been improved to remove gouging.
